GELLMAN ASSOCIATES is a specialized Manufacturer’s Representative in food products
and food service equipment providing in-depth representation to Convenience Stores, Vending, Micro Marts,
Office Coffee Service and Mobile Caterers covering New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia.
Gellman Associates furnishes distributor support, along with direct sales, for the manufacturers we
represent. We take an active role in all regional and national trade associations.
DAVID GELLMAN has been actively involved in the vending industry since 1968. He was the founding
President of the National Vend Brokers Association in 1977 and served as President of the Association
again in 1997 and 1998. In 1995 David won the “Supplier of the Year” award from the Keystone Coffee
Association. He was inducted into the National Beverage Products Association “Hall of Fame” in 1997.
David has served on the Broker Advisory Boards for many of the companies we represent. He has also
served on the VSA Broker Advisory Board. David previously served on the Board of Directors for the
Keystone Coffee Association.
David completed a two- year term as President of the Pennsylvania Automatic Merchandising Council
(now name changed to Tri-State Automatic Merchandising Council).
He also served on NAMA’s Broker Advisory Board.
At the request of NAMA, David was a guest lecturer in October of 2000
at Michigan State University’s School of Hospitality. David was also named Allied Member
of the Year-Vending of the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) for 2004.
David was named Program Chairman for NAMA’s first powerful new Coffee Summit (now known as Coffee, Tea and Water) held in Philadelphia
in February 2008. The event was a tremendous success with over 400 attendees.
David was named 2008 Broker of the Year by Automatic Merchandiser Magazine
David directly manages the vend distributors in the metropolitan Philadelphia market and oversees
the distributors in Maryland, Virginia, Northern New Jersey, Metropolitan New York and Long Island.
In addition to having customer responsibility he also oversees all administrative activities.
